Mexican magazine cover shows Trump with ‘American Fascist’ Hitler mustache
A Mexican magazine featured Donald Trump on its cover, with the words “American Fascist” on his upper lip, emulating Adolf Hitler’s mustache.
The image appears on the October issue of Letras Libres, a literary magazine founded by renowned historian Enrique Krauze.
Trump has incensed Mexicans with his proposal to build a border wall paid for by Mexico, his strong rhetoric on immigration, and by promising to renegotiate or scrap the North American Free Trade Agreement.
He began his campaign in June of last year accusing Mexico of purposely sending Mexican immigrant “rapists” who “bring crime” to the United States.
In August, Trump rattled domestic Mexican politics by meeting with President Enrique Peña Nieto in Mexico City. After the visit, Peña Nieto’s powerful Secretary of Finance Luis Videgaray was forced to resign for his role in setting up the meeting.
