Lobbying World: Herrera Beutler joins eHealth advisory committee

Former Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.), who left Congress at the beginning of 2023, has joined the public policy advisory committee of the digital health insurance marketplace eHealth. Other committee members include former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear (D), former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams and Susan Kennedy, who was chief of staff to former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R).

Greg Brower is returning to Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a shareholder in the firm’s litigation department. Brower, a Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation alum, was most recently chief global compliance officer at Wynn Resorts.

Osiris Morel has joined Mark Anthony Brands as senior manager for federal and state lobbying. Morel most recently worked in federal and state government relations at Brownstein.

Narrative Strategies has hired Jesse Westbrook as a managing director. Westbrook spent more than 18 years at Bloomberg, rising to the rank of managing editor for U.S. financial coverage.

Meagan Foster has joined Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies as a senior principal. A seasoned Capitol Hill alum, Foster was most recently in Sen. Peter Welch’s (D-Vt.) office, serving as deputy chief of staff and legislative director.

The ERISA Industry Committee has appointed Tom Christina as executive director of the ERIC Legal Center and promoted Christina Strogis to director of health policy for federal affairs.

Monument Advocacy has promoted Jill Jackson to partner. Jackson, who joined Monument in 2020 as a principal, was a senior producer at CBS News’s “Face the Nation” and news director for NPR member station KUOW in Seattle.
