CrowdStrike has hired DLA Piper to manage “policies and proposals related to congressional response” to the July outage that hit airlines and businesses around the world. Delta Air Lines has threatened to sue CrowdStrike, saying the outage cost it $500 million, and the House Homeland Security Committee has requested CrowdStrike’s CEO testify before the committee.
Vanessa Le, a former special adviser and counsel to the director of national intelligence and counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, will work on the account.

Spotify hired Keeley Law & Policy to lobby on music licensing issues, the second firm the streaming giant has hired since it was sued by the Mechanical Licensing Collective in May over alleged underpaid royalties. Finance
BlackRock hired Capitol Consulting Group to lobby on issues related to financial services. This is the third new firm the investment giant has hired this year amid a barrage of Republican attacks related to its environmental, social, and governance investing. The lobbyist on the account is Stephen Replogle, former director of intergovernmental affairs at the Commerce Department and senior policy adviser to the Senate Republican Conference.
JPMorgan Chase hired PhronesisDC to lobby on issues related to financial services and tax policy. One of the lobbyists on the account is Brendan Dunn, former policy adviser and counsel to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.).
