Harvey Weinstein accused of sexually assaulting 16-year-old girl: reports

Disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein is being accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, according to a Wednesday civil court filing.

The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that Weinstein subjected her to years of abuse starting when she was an aspiring model in New York City. She alleges that Weinstein assaulted her in 2002, forcing her to touch his penis, and then subjected her to years of sexual harassment and abuse, ABC News reported.

{mosads}Her allegations are similar to those from dozens of other women who say Weinstein aggressively forced them to perform sexual acts and then sought to harm their careers when they rebuffed his advances.

Jane Doe, a Polish model, in the filing claims Weinstein invited her to a business lunch that ended up taking place in his New York apartment, according to ABC News.

There, she alleges Weinstein tried to force her to take off her clothes and massage his penis.

“Terrified and struggling to hold back tears, Jane Doe said she would not and resisted his demands,” the filing states, according to ABC News. “Jane Doe was a virgin, and had no intention or understanding when she agreed to a business lunch that she would be put in this alarming position.”

“He then took off his pants and forcibly held Jane Doe while taking her hand and making her touch and massage his penis,” it continues, according to Fox News

He then allegedly told the young woman that she had to comply with his demands if she wanted to become a star.

Jane Doe claims that Weinstein continued to harass and stalk her for years, at one point showing up to her apartment building.

Weinstein’s lawyer, in a statement, denied the allegations.

“This claim is preposterous,” Weinstein’s criminal defense attorney Ben Brafman said in a statement quoted in multiple reports. “This latest completely uncorroborated allegation that is almost 20 years old will also be shown to be patently false.”

Doe’s allegations were filed as part of a class action lawsuit that involves 10 named plaintiffs.

Weinstein is facing multiples charges in New York and California.

The wave of allegations against Weinstein is credited with sparking the broader “Me Too” movement.

Women and men in the past year have accused high-profile figures, including former Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), former NBC anchor Matt Lauer, PBS journalist Charlie Rose, comedian Louis CK, actor Kevin Spacey, and other high-profile men in the entertainment and media industries of sexual misconduct.
