Cable news channel NewsNation will debut a new weekend public affairs program in March, the network announced Thursday.
“The Hill Sunday” will air at 10 a.m. Sunday beginning March 3 and will be hosted by Chris Stirewalt, a former editor at Fox News who joined the network in early 2022 and serves as NewsNation’s political editor.
“We are delighted that Chris will be joining the new weekend lineup,” said Michael Corn, NewsNation’s president of news, in announcing the new show. “He is a legendary figure in Washington and one of the most respected, intelligent, and well-sourced journalists covering U.S. politics.”
NewsNation last April launched a daily panel discussion program, dubbed “The Hill,” which is moderated by chief Washington correspondent Blake Burman. That show initially aired at 5 p.m. on weekdays. The network announced earlier this month the hourlong program would shift to 6 p.m. as part of a larger expansion of NewsNation’s weekend and weekday slate of programming.
NewsNation is owned by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
