Kathy Manning (D) is an attorney, small-business owner and nonprofit leader in her hometown of Greensboro, N.C. She was elected to represent North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District.
Manning has held leadership positions at United Way, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, the National Conference for Community and Justice and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
A mother of three, she’s experienced fighting with insurance companies and high drug prices when one of her daughters suffered a chronic illness. She ran on providing affordable and accessible health care and education and job training for people.
Manning provided COVID-19 community resources on her campaign website, including information about the phased reopening of North Carolina. She also provided information about giving back to the community, including information about nonprofits for childhood education, food banks and garden projects. Additionally, she included information and unemployment assistance and Congress’s aid to small businesses and local governments.
