Amazon’s video game streaming service told users that their accounts might have been hacked.
Twitch, which was purchased by Amazon in 2014, took steps to protect users on Monday by disconnecting their accounts from Twitter and YouTube.
{mosads}The platform also moved to accelerate the expiration of passwords and stream keys while urging users to change similar passwords at other sites, The Associated Press reported.
Twitch allows users to watch others play video games, as well as play themselves. As of 2013, the platform had 45 million users.
This would not be the first time that gaming services have been hacked. In December, attackers affiliated with the hacking ring Lizard Squad disabled Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
