Seven senators on the Intelligence Committee sent a letter this week asking President Obama to declassify “specific” information regarding Russia’s role in the recent election.

The one-paragraph letter was spearheaded by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and signed by Democratic Sens. Martin Heinrich (N.M.), Mazie Hirono (Hawaii), Barbara Mikulski (Md.), Mark Warner (Va.), Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) and ex-officio member Sen. Jack Reed (R.I.).

{mosads}“We believe there is additional information concerning the Russian Government and the U.S. election that should be declassified and released to the public We are conveying specifics through classified channels,” the letter reads.

The letter gives no further information about what the senators wished to see declassified.
