Shimberg started the law and policy shop after leaving DLA Piper, where he served as of counsel in the government affairs practice. Before that, he served as the associate assistant administrator within the EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
He has also served as Republican staff director and chief counsel of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, as the National Wildlife Federation’s vice president for federal and international affairs, and as a trial attorney in the Justice Department’s Land and Natural Resources division.
