Fixes to Bangladesh working conditions slow-going

Efforts to improve the working conditions for Bangaldeshi textile workers in the wake of a fatal factory collapse are coming along slowly, but steadily.

The Washington Post reported Wednesday that the collapse, which killed more than 1,100 workers, brought significant international pressure on the nation to improve working conditions. Most notably, international retailers agreed to survey factory sites and make fixes where needed.

But signs of progress have been hard to find on the ground. While the nation seems committed to making changes following the global outcry, some fret that when it comes time to make major changes, factory owners will resist the costs and lost time that come with them.
