Administration officials, lawmakers wish Kudlow a quick recovery after heart attack
Administration officials and Congress members are wishing Larry Kudlow a quick recovery, after the White House National Economic Council director suffered a heart attack.
“Just spoke with @larry_kudlow to wish him a speedy recovery,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin tweeted Tuesday. “Glad to hear that he is doing well and is in good spirits.”
Kudlow on Monday suffered a “very mild heart attack” and was taken to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

She added that “his doctors expect he will make a full and speedy recovery.”
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle reached out to say they hope Kudlow gets well soon.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on the Senate floor Tuesday that Kudlow “is not just a famously happy warrior for pro-growth, pro-opportunity economics, he’s also widely regarded as one of the best guys in Washington.”
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), tweeted Tuesday that he’s “praying for a full and speedy recovery.”
Glad that you are already feeling better, @larry_kudlow. Praying for a full and speedy recovery for my friend.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tweeted late Monday that she and her husband, Paul, have Kudlow in their thoughts.
Paul & I are thinking of @larry_kudlow. We are confident he is in good hands at Walter Reed Medical Center & wish him a speedy recovery.
