In Washington, speakers are scheduled to include nearly the full roster of Democrats who helped push ObamaCare to final passage, including House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.). Sens. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) are also slated to attend.
“Oct. 1 means middle-class families will no longer be one illness, one accident or one medical emergency away from financial ruin,” Americans United for Change said in a statement.
