Obama: Enrollment glitches will be fixed
{mosads}Obama said the glitches were a result of unexpected traffic to the new websites — 1 million people had visited healthcare.gov by 7 a.m., he said.
The traffic “exceeds anything that we had expected,” Obama said.
Obama has repeatedly predicted glitches in the exchanges’ rollout, but Republicans argued Tuesday that the widespread outages are a sign the law is unworkable.
In addition to the heavy traffic on healthcare.gov, state exchanges said they had been overwhelmed during their initial launches. New York reported receiving 2 million hits in two hours, and Kentucky said its exchange had logged 24,000 visitors by 9:30 a.m.
