ObamaCare official to brief Ways and Means panel on rollout

The head of the agency tasked with implementing ObamaCare will brief lawmakers on the House Ways and Means Committee about the status of the rollout on Wednesday.

{mosads}A staffer with knowledge of the matter told The Hill that Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Administrator Marilyn Tavenner will conduct the bipartisan, members-only briefing.

The committee, headed by Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.), has taken the lead in conducting congressional oversight of the botched ObamaCare launch.

The committee was the first to hear testimony from an Obama administration official back in October, when Tavenner apologized for the broken website and other rollout issues.

Camp also subpoenaed the CMS for the ObamaCare enrollment figures just days before the administration was scheduled to release the numbers.
