CuidadoDeSalud.gov ready to launch

The Obama administration plans to launch the Spanish version of HealthCare.gov over the weekend, according to a report in The Washington Post.

According to the report, the administration is planning a soft-launch of CuidadoDeSalud.gov so Hispanic advocacy groups can report back on the site’s performance. If the site is functioning properly, the administration will commence with efforts to promote it.

The administration had been sending Spanish-speaking consumers to the bilingual ObamaCare hotline as officials scrambled to deal with the myriad technical issues plaguing the ObamaCare roll-out.

Hispanics make up the largest uninsured ethnic group in the country, and their enrollment is critical to the long-term success of the Affordable Care Act.
