Sotomayor breaks shoulder, but won’t miss work

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor fell at her home and broke her shoulder, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathleen Arberg said in a statement to The Hill that Sotomayor, 63, injured her left shoulder in a fall at her home Monday morning.

Sotomayor’s doctor confirmed Monday afternoon that her shoulder was broken, she added.

{mosads}”She will wear a sling for several weeks and will undergo physical therapy,” Arberg said.

“Justice Sotomayor plans to continue with her schedule as usual.”

The justices will hear arguments Tuesday morning in a battle over states’ power to collect sales taxes on internet sales.
