Country music legend and philanthropist Dolly Parton’s amusement park, Dollywood, updated its COVID-19 restrictions this week.

According to the company’s website, on April 12, masks were made optional in outdoor areas of the park where social distancing is in place.

Masks will still be required in indoor areas, in ticketing areas, at park entry, in lines, on rides and trams, and in congested outdoor areas.

Temperature checks will no longer be required before entry for the public and employees, but people will still have to do self-assessment health screenings before entering the park.

The park’s employees will still be required to wear masks at all times on the property.

Dollywood is making the changes as the Sevier County, Tenn., mask mandate is set to expire on Thursday, according to WBIR.

The “9 to 5” singer made headlines during the pandemic after she gave a sizable donation to help fund the development of the Moderna vaccine.

Following the vaccine’s development and emergency use authorization, the 75-year-old Parton received the shot in early March, tweeting, “Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine.”
