{mosads}Secretary of State John Kerry briefed Royce Monday evening about the administration’s options. The White House has said Obama would respond after concluding that Bashar Assad’s regime used chemical weapons in an attack that rebels say killed more than 1,300 people last week.
Royce is but the latest lawmaker to make the case that Congress should authorize military force. A growing number of House members are signing on to a letter from Rep. Scott Rigell (R-Va.) demanding the president consult Congress.
