US Ebola patient turns critical
The only U.S. Ebola patient is in critical condition, a Texas hospital said Saturday.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, where Thomas Eric Duncan is being treated, didn’t provide any further details about his condition.
{mosads}”Mr. Duncan is in critical condition,” hospital spokeswoman Candace White said in a release.
Duncan was diagnosed on Tuesday after traveling to Dallas from Liberia, which is struggling to contain the epidemic.
Meanwhile, the Dallas apartment where Duncan was staying was decontaminated on Friday.
He was treated and released from the hospital before returning days later and being diagnosed with Ebola.
The hospital said on Friday that the emergency room doctor at the Presbyterian Hospital who first treated him did have access to his travel itinerary.
So far, none of the 50 people who are being monitored for the disease after coming in contact with Duncan have shown any symptoms.
