Benghazi auditors at odds over cooperation with Hillary Clinton

{mosads}Republicans have faulted the audit in part for not interviewing Clinton, the presumptive Democratic front-runner in 2016. Mullen defended his decision at Thursday’s hearing, saying his warning had nothing to do with the Benghazi audit but only with the potential testimony before Congress of Charlene Lamb, then the deputy assistant secretary for diplomatic security.

“I was concerned about her level of experience, and I expressed that to [then-State Department counselor and chief of staff] Cheryl Mills, and that as it,” he testified.

Lamb was singled out for criticism in the ARB report and was reassigned last month.
