NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is traveling to Singapore during the summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Rodman made the announcement on Instagram Friday morning, saying he “will be flying to Singapore”  and will “give whatever support is needed to my friends” referring to the two world leaders.

Rodman said his trip to Singapore will be sponsored by Potcoin, a digital currency for marijuana purchases. Potcoin sponsored a previous trip Rodman took to North Korea, according to The Washington Post.

The announcement from Rodman comes just a day after Trump said that Rodman was not invited to the summit.

“I like him. He’s a nice guy. No, he was not invited,” Trump told reporters on Thursday during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The New York Post reported earlier in the week that Rodman, who has visited North Korea five times, was considering visiting Singapore during the summit. Darren Prince, a representative for Rodman, told the news outlet that that Rodman would be willing to go if his presence was necessary.

“He’s talked about it, but no final trip or plans have been made,” Prince said on Tuesday.

Trump is scheduled to meet with Kim on June 12 at a luxury hotel in Singapore. The meeting is expected to start at 9 a.m. local time, which is 9 p.m. EDT in Washington.

Trump is reportedly getting daily briefings on the summit and the White House has said a team of officials is already in Singapore making final preparations.

Trump said he doesn’t think he has to “prepare very much” on Thursday.

While Rodman announced that he is traveling to Singapore, there is no indication that he will participate in any official summit events.
