Prince Philip involved in car crash, not injured

Prince Philip, 97, was involved in a car crash on Thursday but did not sustain any injuries, the BBC reported.

The news outlet reported that the incident happened about 3 p.m. local time when Philip, who is married to Queen Elizabeth, was driving a Range Rover and was pulling out of a driveway near Sandringham Estate.

{mosads}An eyewitness said the car Philip was driving was overturned, the BBC reported, while others who observed the crash told the news outlet that Philip was “very, very shocked” as he was helped out of the vehicle.

Two people in the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries, the BBC reported.

Buckingham Palace announced in May 2017 that Prince Philip would stop carrying out public engagements.

Philip’s oldest son, Prince Charles, is next in line to the throne, followed by Charles’s son, Prince William.
