ISIS identifies London Bridge stabber as one of its fighters

The Islamic State has said that Usman Khan, the man responsible for the London Bridge stabbing Friday, was an operative of the terrorist organization, Reuters reported.

According to Amaq — the extremist group’s news agency — the attack was carried out because of orders given by the terrorist group to target countries that were actively fighting against ISIS.

Despite saying that Khan was a member, ISIS didn’t provide any information proving its claim.

Khan, who was equipped with a faux explosive device, was shot dead by British police after stabbing five people on London Bridge on Friday. Two of the people stabbed died later that day.
