Giuliani says FBI has not interviewed him after associates’ arrest

President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani told CNN on Thursday that he has not been interviewed by the FBI after two of his associates were indicted on campaign finance violation charges

Law enforcement officials briefed on the matter told the news network that the attorney’s dealings with the associates are under scrutiny. {mosads}

Giuliani said that he was not aware of such scrutiny.

CNN reported that the FBI and Manhattan prosecutors are looking into Giuliani’s involvement in the money flow relating to the allegations against the associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

Parnas and Fruman were arrested Wednesday on allegations that they violated campaign finance laws in order to give money to Republican committees including a $325,000 contribution in 2018 to a pro-Trump super PAC called America First Action.

Parnas and Fruman have also helped Giuliani with efforts to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, although the charges appear to be unrelated to Giuliani’s work in Ukraine.

The Hill has reached out to the FBI for comment and a representative for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan declined to comment.
