“Potential risks” around user privacy on Facebook and Google get a lot of attention, she said, but “everyday there are massive risks to the security of the network” because of cloud computing.
Arbogast predicted a “day of reckoning” when a cloud-computing attack could bring more attention to the issues in this space.
Going forward, she said, other key policy concerns will include targeted advertising, over-the-top video and wireless broadband.
