News bites: Google’s early Android phone plan

Apple’s recent malware woes won’t be the company’s last, despite common
beliefs that Mac OS is secure and malware-proof, according to CNET

The Verge reports on Google’s original aim to sell a $9.99 unlimited data plan for an early concept of what became Google’s G1 Android phone.

CNet also reports that the price of solid state disks like those powering the ultraquick MacBook
Air will drop fast after a price war.

Wired says Google will use its Drive product to make its ChromeOS more
palatable to users on the go.
