President Obama will sit for an interview with three YouTube stars two days after his State of the Union address.
Following his agenda-setting speech next Tuesday, three YouTube personalities will question the president at the White House about the speech.
{mosads}The three personalities — Bethany Mota, GloZell Green and Hank Green — have nearly 14 million subscribers to their YouTube channels combined. Throughout the next week, they will solicit questions from their audiences about what to ask.
“This continues efforts by the President and his administration to speak directly to the American people online, and we’re always looking for new ways to do just that,” White House Director of Online Engagement Kori Schulman wrote in a blog post.
In a brief video announcing the interview, the YouTube creators hinted at questions on education, jobs, racial profiling and net neutrality. In the past few years, Obama has used the video-sharing site to answer questions following his speech, including lighter questions.
“Who’s your favorite YouTube creator?” Mota asks at the end of the video.
