News bites: ABC to roll out live-stream feature on apps

Bloomberg CEO Daniel Doctoroff told The Wall Street Journal that the company is “elevating” the focus of its data-security measures after clients complained that its journalists previously had access to information about terminal subscribers.

A new spate of cyberattacks targeted against American companies seek to sabotage computer systems, rather than steal information from them, and stem from the Middle East, The New York Times reports.

Google Plus is struggling to win over businesses and brands as it faces competition from Facebook and Twitter, according to Reuters.

As part of its bid for Sprint, SoftBank is planning to open a new Silicon Valley office for the U.S. carrier that it says would employ up to 1,000 people, Bloomberg writes.
