Twitter is teaming up with Buzzfeed to provide streaming live election night coverage, with reports and analysis as results come in on Nov. 8.

It’s not the first time Buzzfeed has ventured into live-streaming. Facebook pays Buzzfeed over $3 million to produce live videos, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the highest amount for any publisher on that social media platform.

Twitter has also experimented with live-streaming political coverage before. They collaborated with Bloomberg Politics to offer a live, fact-checked stream during the presidential and vice presidential debates.

{mosads}The election night special also comes as Twitter has ramped up its online streaming, including grabbing rights to NFL football games.

On election night, Twitter and Buzzfeed will also work with Decision Desk HQ, a polling and data analysis site founded by conservative blogger Brandon Finnigan, to call races. Former MSNBC and CNN producer Bruce Perlmutter will be the executive producer.

BuzzFeed’s editor-in-chief, Ben Smith, praised Twitter on Thursday, calling it the “platform that is the beating heart of American politics.”

“At a time when so much political coverage amounts to reading Tweets aloud, we’re excited to add original reporting and analysis inside Twitter,” Smith said.
