Google Cloud COO leaves after less than a year
Diane Bryant, the chief operating officer of Google Cloud, has left the company after less than a year.
“We are grateful for the contributions she made while at Google and we wish her the best in her next pursuit,” a Google spokesperson said in a statement.
The news was first reported by Business Insider.
{mosads}Bryant joined Google in November 2017 after retiring from a 32-year career at Intel.
The move comes just weeks after Intel’s CEO stepped down over a consensual relationship with an employee.
At Intel, Bryant led the company’s data center, and Google saw her hire as a boost for its cloud computing business, which has been trying to catch up with industry leaders Amazon and Microsoft.
