Ex-Dem aide says she reported alleged pipe bomb suspect to Twitter

A former Democratic congressional aide said Friday that she reported a Twitter account believed to be linked to the man arrested in connection with a series of pipe bombs mailed to Democrats this week, but says Twitter failed to take action.

Rochelle Ritchie, who previously served as a press secretary for the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee and has contributed to The Hill, reported the exchange to Twitter on Oct. 11, according to a screenshot of an email she tweeted.

{mosads}”Hey @Twitter remember when I reported the guy who was making threats towards me after my appearance on @FoxNews and you guys sent back a bs response about how you didn’t find it that serious,” she tweeted, including the screenshots.

“Well guess what it’s the guy who has been sending #bombs to high profile politicians!!!!” she added.

Authorities say they believe Sayoc was behind a series of explosive packages mailed to prominent Trump critics this week.

The account flagged by Ritchie tweeted at her earlier this month, according to the screenshot that she shared Friday.

“So you like to make threats. Unconquered Seminole Tribe will answer your threats. We have nice silent Air boat ride for u here on our land Everglades Swamp .We will see you 4 sure.Hug your loved ones real close every time you leave you home,” it wrote.

“Threatening my life… bad idea,” she responded, according to the screenshot.

Authorities made the arrest Friday after investigating a series of suspicious packages sent this week to top Democrats including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).
