Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted Tuesday that he had become the “nothing” of Tesla after apparently removing title descriptions from his company website.

The Tesla and SpaceX founder joked that everything “seems fine” after the move, while adding in a second tweet that he will “legally” have to keep the title of president at Tesla in order to not “confuse authorities.”

{mosads}”Deleted my Tesla titles last week to see what would happen. I’m now the Nothing of Tesla. Seems fine so far,” he wrote.

“Legally required officers of a corporation are president, treasurer & secretary. Guess I have to keep 1st one or it will confuse the authorities,” Musk added in a follow-up tweet hours later.

The messages stirred speculation over whether Musk had relinquished any roles at the company after agreeing to step down as Tesla’s chairman as part of a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over a tweet about taking the company private.

Press representatives for Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill regarding Musk’s current role at the company.

Musk was required to step down as chairman and pay a $20 million civil penalty as part of the settlement, after which he mocked the SEC on Twitter as the “Shortseller Enrichment Commission.”

The Tesla CEO reentered headlines last week when he claimed in a tweet that the message expressing interest in taking the company private, which was found to be in violation of SEC regulations, was “worth it” while claiming that he would also be taking a break from the social media platform.

“Signing off Twitter for a few days,” Musk wrote on Friday, adding: “On Twitter, likes are rare & criticism is brutal. So hardcore. It’s great.”
