Forbes, Just Capital rank Microsoft top company ‘doing right by America’

Microsoft is No. 1 on Forbes’s list of the top American companies “doing right” by the country.

Forbes worked with Just Capital to rank 890 of America’s biggest publicly traded companies, examining worker compensation, treatment of customers and their data, product quality, environmental impact, community outreach, ethical and diverse leadership, and creation of job opportunities.

Behind Microsoft is Intel and then Google’s parent company, Alphabet.

{mosads}The top 10 are rounded out by Texas Instruments, IBM, NVIDIA, VMware, Procter & Gamble, Adobe systems and Cisco Systems.

Apple is also featured in the top 25, ranked 16.

Amazon and Facebook also made the top 100, but were ranked a bit lower, at 30 and 35 respectively.

Microsoft’s No. 1 spot on the list comes after, in late November, the firm surpassed Apple as the world’s most valuable publicly traded U.S. company.
