House to hold hearing on ‘skyrocketing’ cost of California high-speed rail

{mosads}The California railway proposal has received more money from the Obama administration than any other project, making it a prime target for GOP critics.

The committee said Tuesday the hearing would “provide committee members
the opportunity to learn about where the California project stands and
what concerns have been raised to this point regarding the feasibility
of the project.”

California Reps. Kevin McCarthy (R), Dennis Cardoza (D), Devin Nunes (R), Jim Costa (D), Zoe Lofgren (D) and Loretta Sanchez (D) will testify at the hearing, as will Federal Railroad Administrator Joseph Szabo and California High Speed Rail Authority CEO Roelof Van Ark.
