Sen. Lautenberg’s casket to take Amtrak to DC
{mosads}Lautenberg was a long-time member of the Senate committee that handles transportation issues, and he is thought to have played an integral role in securing funding for Amtrak and commuter railways and increasing airplane and automobile safety.
There has not been any word yet on who will replace Lautenberg on the upper chamber’s Science, Commerce and Transportation Committee.
