Biden to visit Ohio freight rail terminal with DOT chief

Vice President Biden and Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will travel to North Baltimore, Ohio, on Wednesday to visit a CSX freight rail terminal.

The White House said the vice president and the DOT chief will tour CSX’s Northwest Ohio Intermodal Terminal and deliver remarks about the importance of investing in freight transportation.

The White House said Biden was touring the Ohio CSX facility because it is “the primary hub of the National Gateway project, a freight system supported by federal, state, and private investment connecting the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.”

The White House added that “the vice president will discuss the importance of infrastructure investment in improving America’s competitiveness, strengthening the middle class, and growing our economy.”
