FAA investigating air traffic controller lightning strike
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating an incident involving an air traffic controller being struck by lightning at the Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport, The Associated Press reports.
{mosads}The FAA is reviewing the lightning preparedness of all of its more than 400 flight towers in the U.S. after the September 2013 incident, according to the report.
The agency told the AP that the Baltimore incident was “the first of its kind in FAA history” and said it was just “assessing the condition” of its other flight towers.
