The week ahead: Georgia infrastructure vote on nation’s mind

{mosads}The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee will hold an executive session on Tuesday. Among the issues scheduled to be considered is a bill to block the European Union from imposing emission trading requirements on U.S. airlines (S. 1956).

The EU proposal has drawn the ire of the U.S. aviation industry, and the House has already passed a measure blocking the requirement from being applied to American airlines.

In the House, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hold a hearing Thursday to review Amtrak’s handling of concession sales on its trains.

Also, the House Homeland Security Committee will hold a hearing on Wednesday to examine “misconduct” among TSA screeners.
