Amtrak slowing trains in Northeast due to heat
{mosads}Temperatures in Washington were predicted to come close to 100 degrees Thursday.
Amtrak said that its policy is to implement speed restrictions when rail temperatures rise above 120 degrees.
The company said the restrictions would result in 10-20 minute delays for Northeast passengers.
