DOT offering ferry grants to cities
The money for the grants comes from the transportation funding that was passed by Congress in 2012.
{mosads}The measure, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), included $29.9 million in fiscal 2013 for the Federal Transit Administration’s Discretionary Passenger Ferry Grant program.
The deadline for cities to apply for the ferry grants is Oct. 21.
