Shuster to host Twitter town hall on water bill
{mosads}Shuster said it was important to try to drum up support for the water bill in unconventional ways.
“With so much going on in our country and in the world today, conveying to our constituents the importance of a bill to improve water transportation infrastructure can be challenging,” Shuster said in a statement. “But the fact is transportation and infrastructure impact our everyday lives, and often in ways that we don’t necessarily think about while we’re getting ready for work, getting the kids off to school, or getting supper on the table.”
Congress is attempting to pass a water infrastructure funding bill for the first time since 2008.
The Senate has already begun moving its own version of the water resources bill, but House leaders just introduced their version of the measure this week.
