President Trump on Friday told the prime minister of Ethiopia that the U.S. is committed to helping investigate the deadly crash of a Boeing 737 Max 8 jet.

During a phone call with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the White House said Trump “reiterated his sorrow over the loss of life and underscored America’s commitment” to work with Ethiopian and international authorities to determine the cause of the crash.

Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed last Sunday, killing all 157 on board and triggering worldwide concerns about the safety of the Max 8 jet.

The U.S. on Wednesday joined dozens of other nations in grounding the Boeing planes after coming under criticism for being too slow to stop the flights.
