GM recalls more than 350,000 SUVs over suspension issue

General Motors is recalling more than 350,000 SUVs over a suspension issue, according to government documents reviewed by The Associated Press.

The recall includes Cadillac SRX made from 2010 to 2016 and Saab 9-4X SUVs made in 2011 and 2012.

The issue includes a rear suspension toe link that was not properly tightened in the vehicles, which could lead to steering issues, GM said, according to the AP.

The recall came after an investigation was launched into the vehicles in 2020 by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The investigation began after three people were injured in crashes, which were among nine complaints regarding the vehicles, the AP noted.

This is the second time the vehicles have been recalled, with the first being in 2014.

Vehicle owners will receive letters about the issue starting Aug. 9 and will be able to get the vehicles fixed free of charge, the AP noted.
