SEC names new economic analysis coordinator

{mosads}In her new role in the department, also known inside the SEC as RiskFin, Marietta-Westberg will supervise economic analysis and risk calculations used to support the agency’s potential rules.

“I am honored to take on this new role and to continue to work with the talented staff in the division to provide robust economic analysis that helps inform the commission’s policy choices,” she said in a statement.

Marietta-Westberg originally joined the SEC in 2006 as a visiting scholar, which evolved into a role analyzing economic analyses for the agency’s regulatory policies. In 2010, she continued that role, serving as the assistant director of the Office of Investments and Intermediaries within the division.
