Stevens to lie in repose at Supreme Court’s Great Hall
Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who died Tuesday, will lie in repose in the Supreme Court’s Great Hall on Monday.
These will be a private ceremony at the high court for Stevens at 9:30 a.m. according to a Thursday Supreme Court statement. The public is invited to pay respects between 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.{mosads}
On Tuesday, there will be a private funeral service held at Arlington National Cemetery.
Stevens died at age 99 at a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. His death followed complications from a stroke on Monday.
He served on the high court for 35 years after his 1975 nomination by former President Gerald Ford, a Republican.
