Stepson of reality star arrested on charges related to Jan. 6 Capitol attack

Siggy Flicker arrives at "Vh1 Divas Celebrates Soul" on Dec. 18, 2011 in New York.

The stepson of a former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” (RHONJ) cast member was arrested Wednesday on charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, according to court documents.

Tyler Campanella, the stepson of former RHONJ cast member Sigalit “Siggy” Flicker, is facing five misdemeanors for his alleged participation in the Capitol riots on Jan. 6.

Open-source videos and CCTV video from the Capitol obtained by the FBI showed Campanella inside the Capitol during the insurrection, according to court documents.

The FBI pointed to an Instagram post from Flicker’s account that appeared to also show her stepson at the Capitol, with the caption, “I love patriots so much. Stay safe Tyler. We love you.” The caption included emojis of an American flag, prayer hands, a heart and the hashtag “StopTheSteal.”

The task force officer heading up the investigation said he reviewed the account and believes Flicker is its owner.

Phone records obtained by the FBI for a cell phone associated with Flicker’s account showed the phone was inside the Capitol on Jan. 6. The account was associated with Bayside Chrysler in New York, where Campanella is a sales manager, according to a LinkedIn account under his name. The records showed Campanella is associated with the phone number and an authorized user on the account.

He was arrested Wednesday in New York and charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; entering and remaining in the gallery of Congress; disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building.

His stepmom, Flicker, is a vocal supporter of former President Trump. In a post in January, Flicker posed with Trump’s jet — dubbed Trump Force One by his campaign — while in another photo she was seen holding an Israeli flag with the former president.

The arrest records did not list Campanella’s attorney. The Hill tried to reach Flicker over social media.
