Some federal advisory committees are getting together in the next few weeks to provide outside and technical expertise to agencies’ work.
Here’s what will be announced in the Federal Register on Thursday:
A Health and Human Services Department advisory board on medical rehabilitation research is meeting on Dec. 2 and 3 in Bethesda, Md.
NASA’s advisory committee on aeronautics is meeting in Hampton, Va., to discuss technical and research information about program plans.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s special committee on drone aircraft is meeting in Washington on Dec. 5.
On Dec. 6 and 7, the Energy Department’s advisory panel on high energy physics is meeting in Gaithersburg, Md.
On Dec. 9, the board of directors for the State Justice Institute, which works to improve state courts, is meeting at a circuit court in Orlando, Fla.
The Department of Justice’s task force on Native American children who are exposed to violence is meeting on Dec. 9 and 10 is Bismarck, N.D., to discuss ways to combat violence facing tribal youth.
Also on Dec. 9 and 10, a federal advisory committee on juvenile justice is meeting in Washington.
From Dec. 9 to 13, FAA committees on surveillance broadcasts and aeronautical and meteorological data are getting together.
A federal panel on chronic fatigue syndrome is meeting via webinar on Dec. 10 and 11 to discuss factors affecting access to care for the syndrome and the science behind the condition.
The Labor Department is holding a meeting for its Native American employment and training council in Washington on Dec. 10, 11 and 12.
An Internal Revenue Service panel on taxpayer assistance centers will meet on Dec. 10. The next day, the taxpayer advocacy panels on correspondence and tax forms are getting together. Panels on toll-free phone lines and other issues affecting taxpayers will meet later in the month.
Of Dec. 11, a Department of Health and Human Services advisory group on public health is holding a meeting.
The Federal Communications Commission’s consumer advisory panel is meeting on Dec. 16 at the agency’s Washington headquarters.
On Dec. 17, the Bureau of Land Management’s council for resources around Albuquerque, N.M., is getting together.
