A handful of federal advisory panels will get together in the next couple of weeks.
Here are the new announcements that will be published on Friday:
{mosads}On Dec. 2 and 3, the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission is getting together in the Hampton Roads, Va., area. The commission was created by the fiscal 2013 defense authorization bill.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s advisory committee on reactor safeguards is meeting from Dec. 4 to 7 in Rockville, Md., to talk about lessons learned from the recent nuclear crisis in Japan and other issues.
The Small Business Administration’s advisory panel on veterans’ businesses is getting together in Washington on Dec. 5. The next day, an interagency task force will meet to talk about ways to help the businesses.
On Dec. 9, the management council for fishing in the north Pacific will get together in Anchorage, Alaska, to talk about individual fishing quotas and implementation of its charter.
Fishing regulators for the mid-Atlantic will meet in Dover, Del., from Dec. 9 to 12.
A Commerce Department panel on minority businesses will hold its eighth meeting on Dec. 10 to discuss the growth of minority-owned businesses in the U.S. and globally.
The Internal Revenue Service’s committee on information reporting is getting together on Dec. 11.
On Dec. 11 and 12, the Defense Department’s advisory panel on responding to sexual assault is meeting on the University of Texas’s campus in Austin, Texas.
A federal advisory panel for the preservation of the White House is meeting at the building on Dec. 12.
Also on Dec. 12, a Department of Veterans Affairs panel on clinical science research is meeting in Alexandria, Va.
