Monday’s meeting announcements: Trade panel talks steel imports

Federal advisory panels will announce their new meetings in Monday’s edition of the Federal Register.

Here’s what’s on the agenda:

The U.S. International Trade Commission is meeting on the morning of Dec. 2 to vote on steel imports from China, Germany and other countries. 

Also on Dec. 2, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp. is getting together to review its operation and budget.

The national advisory council for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is planning to hold a teleconference on Dec. 3.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is holding a roundtable on Dec. 5 to talk about proxy advisory firms

On Dec. 6 and 7, the Bureau of Land Management’s advisory council for the California desert is meeting in the town of Moreno Valley. 

The U.S. Naval Academy’s board of visitors will meet on the school’s campus on Dec. 9. 

New England fishing regulators will meet on Dec. 9 and 10 to discuss oversight and electronic monitoring of groundfish. 

The Interior Department’s commission on Indian trust administration is holding a webinar on Dec. 10 to finish an evaluation of the department’s management and administration of the trusts. 

A management council for fishing in the Pacific will hold a webinar on Dec. 11 to review draft analysis. 

An Interior Department advisory committee on invasive species is holding a teleconference on Dec. 12.

Also on Dec. 12, a Commerce Department panel on travel and tourism is meeting to discuss proposals to expand travel and address infrastructure issues. 

A federal council on Native American farming and ranching is meeting in Las Vegas on Dec. 12 and 13. 

The State Department’s advisory committee on international law will hold a meeting on Dec. 13 at the George Washington University Law School. 

On Jan. 9, the State Department’s coordinating committee for shipping is meeting in Arlington, Va.
