Monday’s meeting announcements: Maritime panel talks China

Federal agencies and advisory groups will announce their upcoming meetings on Monday.

Here’s what’s happening throughout the rest of the year and into the next:

On Dec. 11, the Federal Maritime Commission is meeting to discuss a bilateral agreement with China.

On the afternoon of Dec. 12, the Farm Credit System Insurance Corp. Board is meeting in McLean, Va. 

The U.S. International Trade Commission is getting together to talk about chemical imports from China on Dec. 13. 

The Export-Import Bank of the U.S. is meeting in Washington on Dec. 18. The panel will talk about challenges for 2014 and ethics issues.

On Jan. 13, an advisory panel on dietary guidelines will meet via webcast to provide recommendations for a report on nutritional information. 

The Energy Department is holding a public meeting in Washington on Jan. 14 to talk about whether it should issue new energy conservation rules for some lamps. 

On Jan. 14 and 15, the Department of Veterans Affairs panel on rural veterans’ health is meeting in Salt Lake City. 

The Army’s science board is holding its winter meeting in San Antonio on Jan. 15.

The Forest Service’s resource coordinating committee is planning to meet in Washington on Feb. 6 and 7.
